Tribute to Cinematographer Mathi 800. Today, I find myself compelled to acknowledge another intriguing figure in Tamil cinema – the cinematographer R. Mathi. In his extensive more than two-decade career, he has crafted memorable films, distinguished by their pristine indoor and outdoor shots. Noteworthy actors like Karthik, Bharath, Jeeva, and Kajal Agarwal have graced his movies, with titles such as Nepali, Ninaithale, Naan Mahanalla, Oru Kalluriyin Kathai, and Punnagai Desam. Films like Naan Mahan Alla and Veyil have rightfully earned him acclaim. Although I haven't seen his much-discussed film Paiyya, today, I am pleased to pay tribute to this upcoming cinematographer. In the fiercely competitive film industry, individuals like him carve out their distinct identity through exceptional delivery.
