Prasanna.Good news Sir,Our  tender was accepted  by  the  health department.

Murthy.Good news ,Did our MD Knows this

Prasanna.No sir,I tried his number but switched off.

At that time Murthy's phone was ringing.MD was in the other line

Good morning Murthy,Prasanna called me  i was in a meeting could n't attend.What is the matter.

Murthy.Mr Srivatsava our tender has been approved by health department.For that prasanna trying your number.

M.D.Good show.I will be there  in one hour time.See you.

Murthy.O.K.

Murthy.You are the one taken the initiative for this tender and got the approval.My congratulations to you.

Prasanna.Thank you sir.We got this approval because of Mr Ram.

Murthy.Is it how.

Prasanna.Three days back i went to the health department to find out the tender position.

I met the administrative manager who was incharge for finalising the tender.

He told me our rates and other competitive firm's  rates are same .He has to decide which company he can go.I was worried wheather we will get or not.

By that time my phone was ringing Mr Ram called me from Dubai

Prasanna how are you and Murthy's family.

Prasanna.O.K.How is Dubai.

Ram.Dubai is fine.Where are you now.

Prasanna.I am in health department office in Bangalore.

Ram.I see ,you can check up one Ramesh  working there.

Prasanna.I will find out and send a mail.Bye now sir.

After that i asked the administrative manager,Sir ,any body by name Ramesh working here.

Administrative Manager.Why  You are asking.

Prasanna.My  teacher ,friend Guide and Philosopher Ram was asking.

Ramesh.Which Ram you are talking Professor Ram settled in Mysore Now he has gone to Dubai.

Prasanna.The same person sir,i was talking with him.

Ramesh.My god.You are his student and i am also his.Do n't worry in a day or two i will confirmyour tender because both rates are same and i can choose Genuinly as per my discretion.

Prasanna.Thank you sir.

Ramesh.O.K. My advance wishes to you  for a very happy and healthy new year.

Prasanna..Same to you.

Tribute to Director K.Selva Bharathy 279.

Today i remembered another interesting film personality from tamil film industry is none other than Director K.Selva Bharathy.Started his career with Late Director Mani vannan and Sundar C.In his one and half decades film career he has worked with leading actors like Vijay,Kathik,Sathya Raj,Devayani,Sundar C and many other leading actors.Most of his films Vijay acted and Ninaithen Vanthai  one of the big hit movie is worth to be mentioned here.Good story line with meaningful dialoques will be more visible in his movies.I have seen few memorable movies of this Director. Those movies are Ninaithen vanthai,Mettukudi,Vaseegara,Piriyamanavale,Anbe vaa,Muratukalai,and Pasupathi C/oRasakka Palayam.One or two films i could n't remember.I have been repeatedly mentioning in this column today tamil film industry  has  talented directors and it can accomodate many more in the coming days is not a exagerated one. He has also contributed as script and dialoque writer for couple of films. Today i am happy to tribute this Up coming Director.

The article Fire highlights India’s need to upgrade its railways (December 28) rightly pointed out that the country’s railway infrastructure is outdated.

Train accidents such as the recent one that occurred in Andhra Pradesh in which 26 people were killed can be averted if the government upgrades the railways. Such accidents are frequent and reflect poorly on the country.

Incidents of fire in trains are mostly caused due to short circuit. Many of them can be avoided if the railway authorities periodically monitored and inspected air-conditioned coaches.

Every compartment also should have a fire alarm that can alert the driver in case of an emergency. Inquiries are routinely conducted into accidents. In this case too, an inquiry will be conducted and possibly the victims’ next of kin will be compensated. But who will take the responsibility for the loss of so many lives?

I pray for the victims and wish speedy recovery of those who sustained injuries.

 Delhi's  anti graft  leader  faces a huge challenge       On Saturday, a huge crowd watched as Arvind Kejriwal took the oath of office as chief minister of New Delhi.

The fact that he arrived for the ceremony via the Metro rail service was one of the main attractions.

The point may have been to prove that he has the common touch, but simplicity alone will not solve the problems of Delhi.

Real political will and determination is expected from this young chief minister.

All Indians are now watching to see if he can deliver.

The traffic on Kanakapura  road is increasing day by day with motorists and vehicles entering the inner areas.In Gubbalala main gate junction,Pedestrians find it difficult to cross to the opposite side because of heavy traffic. Because of this chaotic traffic, Pedestrians have to wait for a really long time to cross over. I request the authorities concerned to act in this issue to provide a signal light as early as possible so that Pedestrians can CROSS THE ROAD EASILY.

For the past ten days  Mysore was very cold.Murthy could not go for his morning walk because of heavy  snow . After the departure of his master tomy was more comfortable with his new master murthy.Murthy's daughter Nirmala  was taking care of Tomy's day to day needs.Most of her friends like tomy  because of his behavior.
Murthy was reading  the The New indian Express News paper saw the demise of the Mysore last king Srikanta datta Wadiyar and was shocked.At that time his phone was ringing.Raj was on the other line
Murthy you know the news .The demise of Mysore king.
Murthy.Just now i was reading and shocked.He is not much old.
Raj.Yes he was only 60 but ailing.Great loss to Mysore people. i do n't think  in future the colourful dussehra festival will  be celebrated like   the present way.
Murthy.You are right.The Dynasty family so much attached this festival take special interest and spent more amount for the processions.
Raj.This ten days Sayaji rao road will be more Colurful.
Murthy.Recently he was elected in Karnataka Cricket association as President.We missed  a good human.

As a former civil servant turned politician, Arvind Kejriwal’s stated aim to form a government with Congress party support is another dramatic development in Delhi politics.

The principal opposition party BJP is raising questions about anti-corruption AAP party chief’s stand not to join any party to form government. But because of the lack of a majority, he has changed his stance because of what is, in effect, the people’s referendum.

Apart from this, two or three of the promises he made through his election manifesto may not feasible for him to fulfil.

Because of the manifesto, he got 28 of the 70 seats, which is important.

How he will overcome these hurdles is something about which we will have to wait and see in the coming days.

Today i am going to pen another interesting film personality from Bolly wood film industry is none other than Cinemato grapher Sudeep Chatterjee.In his 18 Years film career he has created his own identity is not a exagerated one.He has worked with all leading actors and directors is important. He has few remarkable movies to his credit.Beautiful indoor,out door shots and special effects will be more visible in his movies.He hails from Kolkatta where many talented technicians  from.He did his Cinematography Course in the famous Pune Film Institute. Started his career working with  advertisement and documentries and later he had his own identity in the Bollywood.I have seen few films of this Cinematographer.Those films are Iqbal,Jaan eMann,ChakDe India,Thoda PyarThoda Magic,Dor and Dhoom 3.He has done a Excellent work in Dhoom 3 with Aamir khan,Abhishek Bachan ,Uday chopra and others.The film  was shot in USA with his brilliant Special effects and trick shots.I was more admired by his frame work in Dhoom 3.Today Cinematography is
advanced with latest equipments in Indian film industry.Today i am very happy to tribute this talented and Versatile cinematographer.

End of an era

Being a diehard fan of Peter James O’Toole, I had watched  Lawrence of Arabia film at least ten times. I was shocked to hear about O’Toole’s demise last week. He was among the stylish and charming actors liked by millions of people. I still remember his memorable performance in Becket. 

I also remember reading that severe illness almost ended his life in the late 1970s. It was his positive outlook in life that is inspiring. His death marks the end of an era.

Today i remembered another interesting film personality who has created a big impact in short span of his film career.He was associated with both stalwart directors Shaankar,and PriyaDarshan is worth to be mentioned here.He has twenty films to his credit   and all are memorable.Tamil ,Malayalam and Hindi he has worked with all leading actors.Beautiful indoor and out door shots will be in his films.I have seen Couple of films of this stalwart.Those films are Kaathalan,Asai,Gentle man,Indian,Ullasam,Kushi,Sandakozhi,Run ,Sachien,Hera Pheri (Hindi),Bhagam Bhag, (Hindi).Tamil film Kathalan got award from Tamil nadu state film for best Cinematographer.Today's heroes Ajit,Vijay,Arjun,Vishal and many others  worked with him.Apart from Cinematography he has directed few films 12 B, Run ,(Hindi)Dhaam Dhoom,Unnale Unnale,Ullam Ketkume.Among those films i have seen 12.B and Dhaam Dhoom.Film Industry lost a Wonderful technician.
Even though he lived shortly and deliver few films all are Memorable and remarkable Even though he has departed his films are with us..Today i am very happy to tribute this talented Cinematographer ,Director.

Last week, I had an argument with a friend. After he left, I was feeling bitter about the way he presented his points of view. It was then that I read the words of Human Rights Champion and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Nelson Mandela: “As I walked out the door towards the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be in prison.” 

I decided to forgive my friend and the whole perception changed. I felt peace in my heart. Mandela’s formula for peace is so true.

Tribute to AAP Arvind Kejriwal 276.

Today i am going to pen another interesting  personality who has created a big revolution in the Indian Politics in the recent Delhi election  is none other than Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal.As a good  social activist who fight for the common man's interest and corruption issues won the Ramon Magsaysay award is worth to be mentioned here.   He started his own  political party  as Aam Aadmi party to raise his voice for the Commonman's interest and inflation  Starting his own party was  the only solution for fighting Corruption and other important issues.In the recent election his party bagged 28 seats and gave a tough fight for  the National parties  Congress Party and BJP  is laudable.Arvind Kejriwal entered in to politics only fighting  for the issues and not aspiring any portpolio as on today appreciable.Above all what admired me was his victory against the Former Chief Minister of Delhi.No one  should   underestimate the opponent is my
conviction.In his case all the political parties underestimated his capacity  and people's support.A Infant party bagged this much seats  is highly appreciable .This Delhi  poll verdict is an eyeopener for all the parties if they are not keep up their promises to the people.I have been repeatedly telling in this column  in any walks  of life if a person  does a good job he /she  should be recoganised. Before conclude i want to mention here   i am a non political person who admires who ever does a good job irrespective of  any party.Today i tribute this talented up coming politician who will deliver in the future if he has given an opportunity to form his own govt.

Today i remembered another Versatile film personality from South Indian film Industry who has done wonderful work both in Tamil film as well Bolly wood films is none other than Cinemato grapher Natarajan Subramaniam.Known for his  good work in more then 1500, ad films later entered in to Filmindustry as a successful Cinemato grapher.He has worked with top class actors and,directors of both tamil film and Bollywood is important.In his Twelve year film career he has created his own identity is worth to be mentioned here.Good  indoor as well out door shots are his Speciality.He has done nearly  twenty films and all are remarkable.I have seen few films of this Stalwart.Those films are Youth (Tamil),
Gol Maal returns,Knock out,JabWeMet,PariNeeta, and LoveAaj kal(Hindi) Incidently he  hails from Paramakudi , one of the famous place created few talented actors including the great Kamal Hassan.
Today Tamil film  Cinematographers are doing a WonderfuL Job  in the  BollyWood industry  gives me more happiness.Today i am happy to tribute this Versatile Cinematographer.

Today i am going to pen another interesting film personality from the tamil film industry is none other than Director Vishnuvardhan..He hails from Kumbakonam where plenty of famous  temples located.Initially he was working with stalwart Director Santoshsivan and later he  become independent director.He has worked with popular actors  like Ajithkumar,Arya, Bharath, Prakash raj  and Nayantara. is important.Even though he has few films to his credit among those films  Billa and Aarambam was  hit movies for him.The combination of Vishnu vardhan and Cinematographer Niravshah made good impact .Billa's cinematography by Nirav shah and Aarambam's cinematography by Omprakash  made a good name for this Director.I have seen few films of this  director.Those films are Arinthum ariyamalum,Billa,and Pattial.The recent movie Ajith kumar,Arya, Nayantara,  starring Aarambam is doing very well for him.In a short span of time he made a remarkable name in tamil film industry.He has also directed one telugu film  and acted in couple of films.

I was shocked to read the article Million-dollar stash of gold found in plane’s toilet in eastern India (November 21).

Who could have left gold bars worth more than $1 million (Dh3.6 million) in the toilet of a commercial plane, I wonder.

No one so far has come forward to claim them, nor have the authorities been able to arrest anyone in that regard. We might come to know the real story behind this incident after investigations are carried out.

Meanwhile, the Indian government might be happy to find this much gold in a plane, even though it failed to find a gold stash after carrying out digging in a large area in Uttar Pradesh, based on a Hindu holy man’s dream.

When my two grandchildren invited me to attend their school sports function, I gladly agreed. It was thrilling to watch several children participate in different games. I was surprised by the enthusiasm especially because I thought the present generation is more into indoor games and is addicted to television and Internet. 

In an inspiring speech, former Indian cricketer Javagal Srinath prodded parents to encourage their children to take part in sports activities. “Even if they lose, they should learn to appreciate winners,” he suggested. 

The applause from the crowd made it clear that his point on sportsmanship was well taken.

The area in front of a leading library situated right opposite my apartmen ton Gubbalala main road has become a garbage dumpyard. .Apart from this,  weed  has  also covered the entire space.An other issue is that of traffic.With Gubbalala main road witnessing an increase in motorists by the day  because of its
connectivity to Uttarahalli and other places,it has become difficult for pedestrians.I request the authorities to look in to this issue as soon as possible and get both garbage and weed cleared.

Faisal Al Yafai’s opinion piece, A deal with the devil could save Syria from the inferno (November19), was thought-provoking.

The author has clearly analysed the past and present status of Syria, and the current regime’s arrogant attitude.

Despite international calls for a peaceful settlement, president Bashar Al Assad is still adamant that he will stay in power.

I hope that peaceful dialogue between the people and the Assad government can yield some results. Innocent people should not have to suffer any longer.

Today i remembered another interesting film personality from tamil film is  none other than Cinematographer.
In a short span of his career he has worked with leading actors like Vijay,Vishal,Vikram,Anushika ,Trisha and others Started his career with famous Director Rajiv Menon  in MinsaraKanavu ,and his ad films later became independent. .His beautiful indoor and out door frame work  is  laudable..Even though he has handful of films to his credit all are remarkable.He has also worked with talented Directors like Dharani,and Babu Sivan.  I have seen all of his films,Dhil, ,Ghilli,Dhool , Vettaikaran and Kuruvi.All the movies are fast  and entertaining.Vijay's action was superb in Kuruvi,Vettaikaran,and Ghilli.Vikram's action was very nice in Dhil. Today Tamil film has  talented technicians  in Cinematography and.,Editing, Today i am happy to tribute this talented Upcoming Personality liked by the film fraternity.

I was telling my friend that whatever happens in life we have to endure.

When he looked puzzled, I shared my personal experience.

It happened to my eldest daughter on September 16, 1983. I was working for a pharmaceutical company and travelled a lot. That day, I returned to my hotel after watching a movie.

I got a message from the hotel manager that my 10-year-old daughter had suffered a fracture in her right hand. I panicked. One of my friends had her admitted to a hospital in Mysore. The next day I rushed to the hospital. She had a bandage and the doctor said she had to undergo a surgery. For no fault of her, she had to suffer. One of her friends had twisted her hand violently.

After the surgery, the doctor comforted us saying there was nothing to worry. She had physiotherapy and shock treatments. Even now, she has a big scar on her right hand. Whenever I see that scar, I wonder why this happened to her! She is quiet, calm and pious.

Exactly two decades after this incident, she is happily married and I am happy to see her driving a car in the UAE with her three lovely children.

Such incidents happen in everyone’s life in different ways. It is better to accept and move on than to regret and turn a pessimist.

Now 90 years old, Dr Abdulrahman Makhlouf’s experience with Sheikh Zayed, the late visionary and the architect of the UAE, was laudable about how the capital, Abu Dhabi, and other  cities were developed.

Above all, Sheikh Zayed’s determination to plant trees was highly admirable. Al Ain’s is a good example of this and it is why Sheikh Zayed remains in the hearts  of people in the UAE.

 Today  i am going to pen another  film personality who has created a good impact in tamil films for more then two decades is none other than Cinematographer Priyan. Started his career with the Late Producer ,Actor Balaji's famous Sujata International unit as a asst cameraman.Later he has worked with Stalwarts Balu Mahendra and Mani Ratnam  for Mundram Pirai and Later's Nayagan.Then he Joined with Rajeev Menon for his Advertisement films and worked with him for   famous Bombay film .He has worked with Popular Directors K.S.Ravi kumar,Cheran , Hari  and many others.His techniques, visuals,lighting and out door shooting is very good because he had wonderful experience with Stalwarts ,Balu Mahendra and,Rajeev Menon, is very important.His original name Nagendran was changed to Priyan by Director Cheran is worth to be mentioned here.More then 25films to his credit and  all are very good.Even though he was not known Cinema in his earlier days later he learned and proved his talents to the tamil film industry. i have seen few films of this stalwart.Those movies are,Porkalam,Thenali,Varalaru,Tamizh,Samy,Arul,Ayya,ThamiraBarani,
Thoranai,Kovil,Aaru,Vel,Seval and Singam 2.His  Cinematography work    was more visible in Singam 2
particularly South African shots taken by Helicopter.Today i am  happy to tribute this talented Versatile Cinematographer.

The recent killing of a Nigerian national by an Indian in the famous tourist destination Goa was sad. The Indian authorities are investigating the reason behind what seems cold-blooded murder.

There are increasing numbers of Nigerians in India – some are studying but unfortunately others are involved in drug trafficking.

I would expect the 35,000 Indians living in Nigeria will be protected by the Nigerian government, especially since this incident in Goa has made many Nigerians uneasy.

Will the Indian government speed up this case to protect nationals from both countries?

During my daily walk in a garden, I always greet my acquaintances. Last week, a person greeted me, but I could not reply. The reason: he had covered his face to avoid heavy fog and I was not sure. During the second round, I stopped him, He revealed his face and I recognised him as a friend who used to chat with me at the Senior Citizen’s club. When I apologised, he replied, “It is OK as you did not greet me because you could not see me. There are people who do not greet others out of ego.” Yes, all sorts make the world.

Even though factory fires are common in Delhi, the authorities seem to be reluctant to tackle them, which is sad (Factory fire in New Delhi kills six, November 4).

Whart ever will happen will happen.

I Want to share my real experience with all our friends,was happened to my eldest daughter and one has to accept the reality in life.i remember correctly ,it was 1983 ,September 16 th, I Was watching Kannada movie at Hassan ,Karnataka state.i returned to my hotel after the movie.At that time  i was working for a Pharmaceutical company and i used to travel a lot.I got a message from the hotel manager that my 10 year old daughter,had a fracture.When one of her friend her right hand.I was paniky and worried.Then i contacted my wife at mysore and came to know nothing to worry.As one of my friends had admitted her in K.R.Hospital,Mysore.The Very next day i reached the hospital and saw my daughter,she was in bandage and the doctor said she has to go for surgery,for none of her fault,she had to suffer.One of her friend twisted her hand that has led to this extent.
My wife was very much worried ,being a girl ,she prayed to god that she should recover soon.The next day the orthopaedic surgeon did surgery to her hand for nearly two hours and nothing to worry.Even after the surgery,she had physiotherapy and shock treatments.She has big scar in her right hand.Whenever i saw that scar,i feel for her.Why this happened to her?.Basically she is quiet ,calm and pious.But what ever happens will happen.I strongly believe in this philosophy.Exactly after two decades after this incident she is happily married and i am happy to see her driving a car in the U.A.E. With her 3Lovely children.
I was telling to my wife these happenings are also written earlier.So what ever happens will happen,all for good.

He has worked with all the leading actors SatyaRaj,Prabhu,Madhavan,Gouthami and Khushboo is worth to be mentioned here.Even though he has few films to his credit he won the tamil nadu state film award for best  dialoque writer for his film Thambi. .Madhavan and Bhavana acted in this movie.Panchalankurichi  was a village story with Prabhu and Suvalaksmi in the lead rolls. Thambi gave a good name for him. I have seen few of his films.Those films are PanchalanKurichi,Thambi,Iniyavaley and ,VeraNadai.Crisp dialoques , clean indoor and out door shots,and  good entertainment will be visible  in his films.Apart from writing,Directing he has acted in  few films is important. After the few films Direction he entered in to Politics and has his own party. If he can concentrate in films he will have his own identity. Today i am happy to tribute this Up coming Director.

I am commenting on the article Speeding Indian bus crashes, killing 45 in inferno (October 30). It’s a terrible tragedy. Bus accidents are not uncommon in India, but even by Indian standards, fatalities were very high.

Public transport in India is often unsafe. The governments of respective states need to do more to ensure the safety of people travelling by bus and taxi. Human lives are precious. The relatives of victims might receive compensation, but no amount can make up for the loss of lives. I pray for the victims.

Bury worry’

A friend was supposed to travel to his native place by bus for Diwali festival. He called me to say that he was cancelling the trip, as he was depressed. When I asked him the reason, he mentioned about a recent incident in Andhra Pradesh in which a speeding bus exploded in a ball of flames after crashing into a barrier, killing 40 passengers. 

It took a long time for me to convince him that accidents are common in all modes of transport and such incidents should not be a reason to skip travel plans.

The recent comments by Congress leaders on Sardar Patel and Modi are sad. Congress branded Modi as anon-secular man. Whatever be the reason, Modi should be respected. The fact that onion prices seem to increase every day in India is unjustifiable. Whatever reason the government gives for these rises, it is simply not acceptable.

The Indian government promised before the last election that it would take care of food-price inflation, but it has failed miserably.

Onion prices really are bringing tears to the eyes of the common man.

Raj was happy about Ram's reply.In  Media Profession one expects fast coverage and action.Raj  is very fast and at the same time he expects from the other side also.In his office also his Directors like him because of his authenticity,and presentation.Raj always proud of his friend Ram.From teaching profession to media

Tribute to Art Director Thota Tharani 270.

To day i am going to pen another interesting film personality who has created a very big impact in Tamil,Telugu,Malayalam and Hindi films is none other than art director Thota Tharani.He has won two national awards and film fare awars is  worth to be mentioned here.Known for his good settings and back ground for many films.Worked with big Directors of the four languages movies as well with big banner producers.His film Indian and Nayagan won National Film awards .Both films Directed by Stalwarts Shankar and Mani Ratnam. I have seen Couple of films of this Doyen.Those movies are,Nayagan,Indian,
ThalaPathi,Anjali,Jeans,Kathalan,May Matham,Muthalvan,Padaiappa,Mr Romeo,Kathal Desam,Baba,Samurai,Dasaa vatharam,Kantha samy,Ananda Thandavam,Kuselan and Sathyam.I could n't remember some more films.In Indian Cinema Director is the main architect of a film and other technicians like Cinemato grapher,Editor,,Choreo grapher and other areas people joint venture a film is taking a full shape.
Art direction  is playing an important roll in today's film world.To day i am very happy to tribute this talented
art director who won many Laurals  to his credit. What little i know i am  writing in this column.If there is any error kindly ignore.

(Golden voice of Manna Dey falls silent forever, BM, Oct 25). He was respected by the entire film fraternity. No one will forget his melodious voice. His loss is irreparable. I pray for the departed singer and the grieved family members.
