I replied, “It’s true I used to love sweets, but I had taken too much of them during my earlier days. That is why doctors have now restrained me.”
When they continued to insist that I should take, I retorted: “It’s true that life is short and we should make it sweet. But one can do so without consuming sweets too.” They laughed and dropped the idea to compel me.

Sweet conversation
When I was young, I used to love sweets. I would not miss any chance to grab them. My grandchildren too have the same habit. Recently, at a function, my grandchildren compelled me to take sweets. But I refused. They were surprised and asked for the reason.I replied, “It’s true I used to love sweets, but I had taken too much of them during my earlier days. That is why doctors have now restrained me.”
