Letter Published in BM on 26April 19.Without paying wages, BBMP wants to get work done
On the story Rain of terror K Ragavan writes it is sad to know that the tree cutting contractors have not been paid. Bengaluru had many trees and several were chopped for road expansion and Metro construction. Workers were not paid their wages. How auditors were allowing payment to be pending for more than two years? And on top of that now as many old trees are posing a threat on roads, they need immediate attention. How can the civic body deploy workers if they have not paid the pending wages?
