Your news story, titled ‘Air India snubbed by Star alliance’ (KT/ Aug 3) was a good read but it was sad to learn that the Indian National carrier’s membership was rejected by the Star alliance.
Apparently, the basic requirements to get the eligibility were not met by Air India. Punctuality, commitment and above all cordial relationship with passengers were the main attributing factors for this. For the past few years I have been seeing this carrier’s negative growth only. Neither the management is interested in developing the airline potential nor the staff members.
It is only the strikes that are visible and take prominence!
