The Gulf News story on Singh saying that scams during his time are a non-issue was an interesting read. Everyone knows about his integrity and straightforward nature, including the opposition party at the time, the BJP. Whatever causes he has attributed for his honesty, Singh was the prime minister of India and he is responsible for how his ministers act. During his tenure, the Commonwealth Games scam, the 2G scam and the coal allocation scam was revealed and some ministers went to jail. His reply to the allegations made by the opposition was not appropriate and he completely ignored the corruption and scams. It’s the same way Modi is responsible for how his ministers act. One has to accept the reality.
