Letter Published in Gulf News UAE on 29 Mar 16 ,Terrorism and its implications
Today the entire globe is facing terror threats from different terror groups for their selfish motto (‘Brussels bomb prime suspects identified’, Gulf News, March 24). Due to the material damages and causalities and, above all, how this affects our children, our future is affected. If you analyse the root cause of terrorism, it’s mainly due to poverty, a vast difference in financial status, lack of education, improper guidance from elders and some have been brainwashed by violent groups. Today it has become a motto for many young people joining terror groups and destroying people and public places like airports, offices, malls and themselves.
Not only an individual’s progress, but also a country’s growth is seized. I wonder what pleasure these groups enjoy in their destruction? Peace, harmony and love are not in the mindset of terrorists. Recently, the Brussels airport attack is another example of their vengeful attitude against the recent arrest of the Paris attacks’ main man in Belgium. This attack was planned and executed.
Will the international community take up this call without further delay?
From Mr K. Ragavan
