Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) is on the rise in the UAE and it’s not a good indication of our sedentary lifestyles (‘Peripheral vascular disease on the rise in UAE’, Gulf News, May 1). One of the most serious outcomes of this disease is amputation. Patients should be careful, consult with a cardiologist periodically, and follow the advice of their doctors.
