Good move by forest dept to slap fines
Following a complaint by the Conservator of Forests and Director of Bandipur Tiger Reserve about the nuisance created by motorists who often halt inside the forests and create a nuisance, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) has ordered imposition of hefty fine (which runs into several thousands) on irresponsible wanderers. Niranjan Kaggere’s elaborated article was interesting. Having seen people’s rude and boorish behaviour inside the forest, I must say it’s a good proposal. Forests should be preserved safely to protect wild animals as well nature. Ultimately, animals safety is important, says K Ragavan
