Tribute to Cinematographer Arjun Jena 344.

Today i am going to pen another interesting film personality from Tamil film field is none other than  Cinematographer ArjunJena.Started his career with famous stalwart P.C.Sriram and worked with many of his remarkable films like,Thevar magan and few hindi films Later he worked with Operative cameraman for famous Jeeva.His first independent  film was Kathal Virus ,Directed by Kathir won  the National award for his work is worth to be mentioned here.He has given few films in Tamil,Telugu, and hindi  languages.His Aegan  frame work both indoor and out door  was very good. In his two and half decades film career he has worked with all top class directors.I have seen few films of this Cinematographer.Those films are,Kathal Virus,Aegan,and Love Khichdi. (Hindi).He is one of the few talented Up coming Cinematographer who has exposed few languages is laudable.
Today i am happy to tribute this talented Cinematographer.

If you do inhabit certain tiny habits into our daily life, over time it becomes quite enjoyable.

 

When I was younger, my history teacher had taught me the importance of dates and time. Over the years, I have developed a habit to change my calendar every morning as well as adjust my watch to the right time. Time is very precious and should be cherished by one and all.

 

One should utilise their time wisely. I will always remember my teacher fondly for teaching me the importance of time and dates.

The Gulf News story about 142 people being killed in the mosque bombings in Yemen’s capital city of Sana’a was sad to read (‘142 dead in Yemen mosque triple suicide bombings’, Gulf News, March 21). The triple suicide bombings targeted by the Al Houthi militias around the city is condemned by the United Nations. The attack on a place of worship and civilians is unacceptable.

I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.

Tribute to Cinematographer Sudhin Majumdar 343.

To day i remembered another interesting film personality from  bolly wood film field is none other than Cinematographer Sudhin Majumdar.Six decades back he has given remarkable films. He has worked with popular actors of Yesteryear actors like  Amitabh Bachhan,Late Shammi Kapoor,  Randhir Kapoor and  many others.His frame work of both indoor and out door is more visible. He has given many remarkable films in his career.Few films i have seen of this doyen.Those films i remember was ,Ram pur Ka Lakshman,Anmol moti,Mard old,Haath ki safai,and Bombay Ka chor.One of the few Cinematographers respected from the Industry.Anmol moti film he has shot nicely in Under water if i remember ,which i saw in Madurai .With out much advanced  technical  equipments  in those days he  has done a wonderful work in Anmol moti.Jeetendra,Babita ,Aruna irani and late Jag deep are the actors if i remember in this movie. Bolly wood is known for it's technical excellancy in Cinematography for many years.Today some of the top class south Indian Cinematographers  are delivering remarkable movies is not a exaggerated one.Today i am happy to tribute this talented Cinematographer.

Heavy challenge

A few days back I met an old friend at a shopping complex, I did not recognise him at first as he looked quite lean. He had come from Chennai after attending a relative’s wedding. I inquired about how it is that he looked so different. 

He explained that he had reduced a lot of weight and followed a strict regimen. 

He added that it included diet with a strict control over calories, going out for a walk once a day and not sitting in front of a television. I asked him exactly how many kilos he had lost. He said 18 and I was stunned. 

As I was returning home, I remembered what my friend who happens to be a doctor once told me about drastic weight loss. He had explained that weight reduction must be done gradually and not drastically.  Whatever may be the reason for my friend’s weight loss, he looked much smarter and fitter.

Today i am going to pen another interesting and versatile personality from the tamil literature world is none other than Women writer M.A.Susila.. She is not only a Professor,Writer,Translator and above all good speaker.Chettinad has created many talented people on various walks of life and incidently this famous writer was also born in Karaikudi Chettinad, is worth to be mentioned here.She has worked in various colleges viz,famous Fathima College,Madurai and other places.Because of her family back ground she was inspired to read in her younger days ,later made her a good writer.Her first story  oru uyir vilai pokirathu got first prize  in Kalki  in 1979.Famous writers Rajam krishnan,Vaasanthy,kirthika ,Bhama and Sivakami,are liked by this writer.More than  eighty stories she has contributed and some are translated to other languages. I have read few stories of this writer all are remarkable.She has also contributed College dramas and directed.I am writing this column of various personalities
and if there is any mistake, can be ignored. Very few people will have this type of talents and this writer continue her work is laudable.Today i am very happy to tribute this talented Professor,Writer,Speaker and translator.Tamil literary world has many women writers and their contribution no one can deny.

Under the gun

In my city, because of the recent climate change, a lot of people are suffering from cold.  Apart from this, another fever runs high, that is the exam fever. Many parents are tense and equally engaged with their kids because of the annual exam. More than the kids, parents are worried about their children’s future. Especially those who are appearing for the 12th standard exams. 

Recently, in my usual evening walk I was told by my friend, “Parents should not give more pressure to kids. It might affect them.” 

The children should be allowed to perform freely so as to achieve maximum results during the tests. A stress-free delivery will give better results, no doubt. Stress and nervousness make people panic, and as a result the test, or may be anything that hampers it, suffers.

The articles about India debating the documentary ban was meaningful and thought provoking (‘Heptullah slams UPA govt for allowing to make BBC documentary’, Gulf News, March 8). The much discussed controversy of the documentary film, India’s Daughter, was produced by the British film producer Leslee Udwin on behalf of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and it was aired despite the Indian government’s ban in the recent dramatic developments in Indian politics. There have been a lot of mixed reactions to this film and many people are not in favour of airing it. However, the victim’s father encouraged this to be watched so that people know the mindset of a rapist who has given his views from inside his jail cell. If he is outside, what will happen?

Whatever be the reasons, people are saying that these types of incidents are happening all over the world. The accused comments on women tarnished the reputation of Indian women and the country.

Today i am going to pen another interesting personality from the Journalism world is none other than late Journalist VinodMehta.When he was  three year  kid his parents migrated from Rawalpindi to Indian Capitol Delhi.He had his graduation in Lucknow University and started his career in a factory in Britain.In 1974 he   worked  a men's popular magazine Debonair.Later he  became one of the popular and influential editors by introducing many successful magazines Viz,The Sunday Observer,Indian Post,Independent,and the Pioneer (Delhi). Later  he has become a Editorial Chair man for the Out Look Group is worth to be mentioned here.He has also Contributed the Biography of two popular people one from the Bolly wood famous actress late Meena Kumari and Late Sanjay Gandhi.Apart from Journalism he was very popular in most of the Channels particularly Times Now and CNN-IBN. His bold frank opinion was not only welcomed  by Media world but also respected from various Politicians including the present Prime Minister.Even though he has departed from us his establishments are infront of us and his opinion will be  remembered for ever.Today i am  very happy to tribute this Great Journalist.

Precious moments

The other day I was waiting for my friend in my place. He  was supposed to come at 4 pm but till 5 pm he didn’t turn up. I was worried and called him. His reply stunned me: he was stuck in a traffic gridlock. Today traffic has become  a major problem worldwide. It’s the reason why people prefer to live on the outskirts, far away from city congestion.

Apart from that everyone is having either a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler.

My friend reached my place at 6 pm. After spending half an hour he said he was making a move. “I don’t know what time I will reach my home,” he remarked. I fully agreed and was happy that at least we could spend half an hour with some useful discussions.

Even though there is no improvement overall, this budget assures passenger safety and no additional fares for passengers. It is welcoming. Tribute to Cinematographer Vishal Sinha 340.

Today i remembered another film personality from Bolly Wood Film Industry is none other than Vishal Sinha.In his twelve years film career he has given few  memorable films.Worked with important Directors and leading actors Viz, Mithun Chakra borty,Sushmita sen,Vidya Balan,,Dhanush,Sonam Kapoor,is important.Good frame work of  both indoor and out door work  will be visible in his work.I have seen few films of this Cinematographer.Those films are,Chingaari,Ab Tak  chappan,Darna Maana Hai,Raanjhnaa and Boot.He was bestowed Best Cinematography awards from Zee Cine Award for .Ab Tak Chappan,and Raanjhnaa. He has worked more than 15Films and created a good impact in the film industry.This young talented Cinematographer will have bright future in the Coming days.Today We have Many talented Cinematographers Both in Tamil film industry and Bolly wood. Most of the Tamil Cinematographers
are worked in Bolly wood films and made a remarkable name. Today i am happy to tribute this Cinematographer.

The Gulf News story on the climate science panel chief shows the pressure it takes to be in the spotlight like this (‘Former UN climate panel chief in hospital amid sex scandal’, Gulf News, February 26). The 74-year-old Rajendra Pachauri being charged with sexual harassment and this being followed by his resignation was shocking news in the climate change area. It is sad that in recent months one of the most top chiefs was allegedly indulging in sexual assaults. If it is true, it is unacceptable. They should behave properly and respect subordinates. Even though he has done good work, this has spoiled his image. It’s a sad state of affairs.
