Gulf News recently reported on the high court decision in India to defer a hearing on the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) (‘Vyapam deaths: Court defers hearing’, Gulf News, July 9). The probe into the Vyapam scam has become more sensitive because of the deaths. Whatever be the explanation from the Chief Minister, this scam is a really big one from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government. All parties are corrupt and the degree only varies. One scam goes; another scam is waiting for the Opposition parties to agitate over. The Chief Minister should speed up this burning issue and bring out the real truth so that the guilty can be punished. Education is an area that should not be interfered with as it will affect the quality of education. It’s a sad state of affairs going on and the common man is the one who suffers most because of the economy being affected with corruption and inflation.
