Letter.

Letter Published in Gulf News UAE on 17 Sep 15,Will the decision hold?
Gulf News recently reported about Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Shatrughan Sinha being kept out of polls in Bihar, India (‘Advani, Joshi, Sinha not to campaign in Bihar’, Gulf News, September 12). The recent decision by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to drop their three senior leaders in the Bihar election by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is the latest development in Indian politics. Among the three, two of them are senior stalwarts and their advice is all that is required of them for these elections, and that might be the reason for dropping them. The other might be dropped for his recent remarks made in the media about his party and stance. The person is none other than the actor turned Bihar politician, Sinha. Despite his long-standing association with the BJP, he has been sidelined and it drove him to comment about the party’s leadership – this might be attributed to the reason for not being given a ticket to contest in the Bihar polls. Will this battle be fruitful for the BJP? We will have to wait and see.
